The process through which a student reserves a seat and adds their name to the roster for a section of a course. At Coker, registration is done in WebAdvisor.
This is the period during which students are permitted to add or remove courses from their schedules with no recorded or academic penalty. Students can drop a course from their WebAdvisor account under “Register or Drop Sections.” (First week of the traditional semester)
Students may remove a course from their schedule with no academic penalty. However, there will be a “W” record to indicate that the student was withdrawn from the class.
This is the unit of measurement for credits at Coker University. A course may have a value of 1-4 semester hours.
A course that is held entirely online through the Blackboard learning platform. Typically, these classes meet for eight-week terms as part of Coker’s evening courses or 100% online degree programs.
